Find the attack that worked among the millions that did not.
An online shop is attacked all day: scanners, bots, credential stuffing, injection attempts. Almost all of it fails, and the alerts look the same whether it did or not. ApexAI separates the attempts from the attacks that succeeded, ties them to the accounts and systems involved, and proposes the response for your people to approve.
Where retail security teams lose time
A web application firewall and a SIEM will tell you that someone tried SQL injection or path traversal a thousand times today. They rarely tell you whether one of those requests got through. Analysts then dig through access logs by hand, and the one request that returned data waits in the same queue as the scans.
At the same time, customer accounts are attacked with passwords leaked elsewhere, card and personal data flow through checkout, loyalty and analytics systems, and new APIs are published faster than security can review them. Each of these is a separate tool in most stacks. ApexAI brings them into one picture centred on the entities involved: the customer account, the web server, the API, the client address.
How ApexAI fits
Successful attacks, not attempts
ApexAI Breach Proof checks whether a web attack actually achieved something, not just whether it was tried. Attempts that failed are kept as context; the ones that worked rise to the top.
Account takeover in context
Logins from new places, bursts of failed attempts followed by a success, and changes of contact details or payment methods are read against each account’s own normal pattern.
Leaked credentials linked to accounts
Leaks that mention your domains are matched to your accounts and services, so an exposed credential becomes a case on the right entity. Passwords are never stored in clear.
Customer and payment fields protected
ApexAI Data Gate protects card, identity and contact fields before analytics, reporting and partner APIs read them, in support of PCI-style data protection requirements.
Authorised scanners recognised
Your own attack-surface scanners and testing partners are recognised as authorised, so their traffic does not bury the real attempts.
API security, coming to the gateway
The ApexAI API gateway brings API, AI and MCP traffic through one governed door, with API discovery and abuse protection. It is in development.
Common retail threats and what ApexAI shows
| Threat | What ApexAI shows | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Injection and web exploitation | Which attempts succeeded, and on which application | Preview |
| Credential stuffing and account takeover | Account behaviour against its own baseline, linked to the client and session | Preview |
| Leaked customer or staff credentials | Which accounts and services a leak touches | Preview |
| Abuse of public APIs | API discovery, abuse protection and governed access at the gateway | In development |
Questions
How is this different from a WAF?
A WAF decides on each request at the edge. ApexAI works after the fact, across logs and accounts, to tell you which attempts actually succeeded and what happened next. The two complement each other.
Will ApexAI block customers by mistake?
Blocking a client or locking an account is prepared as a proposal with evidence and rollback, and a person approves it. Nothing changes on your systems on its own.
Does ApexAI make us PCI compliant?
No product makes an organisation compliant by itself. ApexAI is designed to support data protection requirements by protecting card and personal fields at the source and recording every access decision.
Can we use it during peak sales seasons?
Yes. ApexAI reads alerts and logs read-only, and it learns each system’s normal rhythm, so seasonal peaks are compared with the right baseline instead of raising floods of alerts.
