ApexAI began as MetaSec, a non-custodial privacy middleware: field-level protection and computation on encrypted data, so a server never had to see the plaintext.
It grew into a platform of AI modules that share one Core — identity, the security mesh, licensing, cryptography and the console. The modules do the security work; people decide wherever an action touches a real system.
The product’s focus moved from privacy middleware to autonomous security operations. The new name says so.
Existing deployments keep working: licence keys, APIs and configuration are unchanged by the rename. You may still see the MetaSec name in technical identifiers.
The approval gate is a fixed rule, not a setting.
