Protect patient data and keep care running.

Hospitals hold some of the most sensitive data there is and run systems that cannot simply be switched off. ApexAI investigates on your own infrastructure, protects patient fields where they are used, and leaves every response that touches a real system to your people.

Why healthcare is different

Patient records are personal data of the most sensitive kind: under Vietnam’s Decree 13/2023/ND-CP, information on a person’s health is treated as sensitive personal data. At the same time, that data has to be read every day by clinicians, billing, research and the applications in between. Protecting it only at rest leaves the moment of use exposed.

Hospitals are also a favourite target for ransomware, because downtime directly affects patients and the pressure to pay is high. Yet the same pressure makes automated blocking dangerous: isolating the wrong server can stop a ward’s systems as surely as the attacker would. Security for healthcare has to be early, accurate and careful at the same time.

How ApexAI fits

  • Patient data protected in use

ApexAI Data Gate protects sensitive fields, such as identifiers and diagnoses, before analytics, reporting or integration APIs read them: encrypted, masked or dropped by policy, field by field.

  • Ransomware seen as one story

Credential misuse, remote access, discovery and the first signs of encryption on the same hosts and accounts are linked into one case, so the story is visible before the last step.

  • Local models, on your servers

Triage and investigation run on your infrastructure with models you host. Patient-related security data is not sent to an outside AI service unless you decide otherwise.

  • Proposal-first response

Isolating a host or disabling an account is prepared as a proposal with evidence, expected effect and rollback. A person decides, and clinical systems can be marked so they always need extra care.

  • Routine activity recognised

Backups, imaging transfers, vendor maintenance and patch windows are learnt as normal for the systems that run them, so they do not flood the queue.

  • An audit trail for regulators

Every conclusion, proposal and approval is recorded with who or what made it and why, ready for internal review or an inspection.

Where to start

  1. 01

    Connect your SIEM and EDR

Read-only, with alerts and logs staying in your environment.

  2. 02

    Mark what matters

Tell ApexAI which systems are clinical or critical, so proposals against them always ask for more care.

  3. 03

    Observe for a few weeks

ApexAI triages and investigates next to your team and records what it would have done.

  4. 04

    Protect the fields

Choose the patient fields that analytics and integrations should never see in clear, and apply policies through Data Gate.

  5. 05

    Step up deliberately

Switch on what the evidence supports, one capability at a time, with a way back at each stage.

Questions

Does patient data leave the hospital?

No. ApexAI runs on your infrastructure and uses local models by default. Any outside AI service is off unless you choose to enable it by policy.

Can ApexAI isolate a clinical system on its own?

No. Containment is proposed with evidence and rollback, and a person approves it. Systems you mark as critical are checked before any proposal is offered.

How does ApexAI help against ransomware?

By linking the early steps, such as stolen credentials, remote access and discovery, into one story on the affected hosts and accounts, so your team can act before encryption spreads.

Is ApexAI certified for healthcare regulations?

We do not claim certifications on this site. ApexAI is designed to support data protection obligations by keeping data on-premise, protecting fields at the source and recording every decision.
